APRIL 26, 2021 -- Balfour Collegiate is proud to announce that Tyler McClellan has been selected as Simon Fraser University’s Schulich Leader Scholar in Mathematics. This means that Tyler will receive an $80,000 scholarship to cover his costs while studying at Simon Fraser. "I am very honoured to be picked to receive this scholarship. By acquiring this, I can now continue my studies without having to stress about financial issues that would hold me back. This allows me to make my dreams a reality.” (Tyler McClellan)
Balfour nominated Tyler for this award because of his amazing academic average, his love of mathematics, his exemplary character, his involvement in Balfour SRC and theatre, and his quiet and powerful leadership in the school community.
