Black History Month

Black History Month is held during February every year. This month provides an opportunity to share and learn about the legacy and ongoing contributions and achievements of Black Canadians. This year's theme (“The Future is Now") focuses on the transformative work that Black communities have and are continuing to contribute to society. At Balfour Collegiate, we acknowledge the importance of celebrating the achievements and reconciling past events in order to grow and strengthen as a community.

COVID Identified, Parents Called, School Open

January 17, 2021 – the Saskatchewan Health Authority informed us that there was one case of COVID-19 in an individual at Balfour Collegiate

For the safety of students and staff, and in consultation with Public Health, we have informed all close contacts and provided them information about self-isolation. The affected students will begin remote learning and will not return to the school until January 27, 2021. Remote Learning will begin for those students on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Letters will be sent to all school families on Monday, January 18th.

FTV Surveys

It is time to hear the voices!!!!  Student and teacher surveys are critical to our shared FTV work.  It is our opportunity to hear the voices.

In particular for students, this is a significant opportunity to share their voices….. The more student voices we have represented through the survey, the more accurate sense we have of how/what students believe/feel.  Please give students 10 minutes in class to complete this survey:
